Arsenal vs Bayern Munich Live on February 19, 2013 at Emirates Stadium

Arsenal vs Bayern Munich Live on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 2:45 p.m. ET (7:45 p.m. local time) and will be played at Emirates Stadium, London.

Arsenal will welcome German giants Bayern Munich to the Emirates Stadium for their round of 16 clash in the UEFA Champions League this week.

Having been eliminated from both the FA Cup and Capital One Cup to lowly teams as well as sitting a long way back in the race for the Premier League title, the Champions League is seemingly Arsenal's last remaining chance of ending their title-less streak in 2013.

Arsenal will look to get back on track when it takes on Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions league round of 16 match.

Arsene Wenger's squad was disappointed 1-0 in the FA Cup this weekend by Blackburn. Prior to the loss, the manager stated that he felt his team could have a chance at winning the entire tournament. "We have a big game on Tuesday against Bayern. If we get past them, then why should we not go further and win it?" said Wenger on Friday.

Arsenal drew second place in Group B behind German side Schalke 04. Wenger's side defeated Montpelier 2-1 in the opener and followed it up with a 3-1 victory over Greek squad Olympiacos. However, during the two matches against Schalke, Arsenal lost 2-0 and drew 2-2. The team regained its form and defeated Montpelier 2-0 to secure a spot in the final round.

The Gunners will take on a Bayern Munich squad that has not allowed a single goal in its last five Bundesliga matches. However, Munich struggled in the early going of the Champions league. The team topped Valencia 2-1, but lost 3-1 to BATE Borisov in the second match. The team won its third match 1-0 over Lille, but failed to show the explosive offense that defined German soccer. In the fourth match, the German leaders pulled off a 6-1 win over Lille before drawing 1-1 with Valencia. In the final group match, Munich put on a dazzling offensive display in a 4-1 win over BATE Borisov.

Bayern have the edge over Arsenal in head-to-head in the Champions League, with the Gunners managing to win only once in their last four top flight meetings. The last time these two teams met was in the round of 16 during the 2004-05 season, where the Germans triumphed 3-2. Bayern are currently 15 points ahead of reigning Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund at the top of the table and have won five games on the trot in all competitions ahead of this fixture. The Germans are also on an 18-match unbeaten streak and are clear favourites against an under confident Arsenal side, who failed to find the back of the net against a Championship side on Saturday.

The Germans will be hard to stop given the fire power at their disposal, with Croatian Mario Mandzukic in rampart form this season, scoring 15 goals. In addition, Thomas Mueller, Toni Kroos and Bastian Schweinsteiger are all capable of finding the net and will fancy a go at Arsenal's leaky defence, who have already let in 29 goals this season, compared to the seven conceded by the Germans.
